Abstract

Sarcoidosis is a systemic disease characterized by a noncaseating granulomatous reaction of unkown origin.  Symptoms and signs depend on the organ involved.  Most frequently involved tissues include lymph nodes, lungs, liver, skin, and eyes.  Muscle, spleen, bone, parotids, the central nervous system and almost any other tisse including bones and joints may also be involved by the disease process. We recently have seen a patient with an unusual presentation of symmetrical polydactylitis.
